Precision Celebrates 28 Years with a fun-filled Family Day!

Families and fun take centre stage at our Bury St Edmunds green solar-powered hub.

Precision marked its 28th anniversary in spectacular fashion this Sunday, treating our employees and their families to a day of fun! To mark the occasion, exclusively local businesses were selected as suppliers. The event, held at our carbon neutral, green solar-powered hub in Bury St Edmunds, was a testament to our company's commitment to the environment and our people.

The celebrations commenced with the Incredible Moving Cinema, courtesy of Abbeygate Cinema, treating employees and their families to a spirited sing-along screening of the beloved musical, Mamma Mia. Stem Catering offered a delicious spread featuring a hog roast and BBQ. Giant rustic games and a sweet cart were provided by G’s Sweet Treats, and ice cream from Criterion at Manor Farm Creamery in the heart of Suffolk was also on offer. In addition, a selection of beverages and popcorn.

But the celebration didn't stop at cinematic delights and sweet treats! An inflatable penalty shootout, and adult and junior sumo wrestling suits provided by Castle Capers injected an extra dose of fun and laughter into the day. Various activities, from arts and crafts to embarking on treasure and scavenger hunts, added to the family fun.

To emphasise Precision’s sustainability pledge, the treasure hunt which the children took part in focused on the theme of the environment. Prizes were kindly donated by Octopus Energy, including a cuddly toy and colouring book, with 8 prizes in total. The children followed the clues around the building to pick up their goodies, such as finding where we charge electric cars to pick up a toy Octopus vehicle. The children also took away a bug hotel in an eco-friendly reusable bag!

Our journey

In 2005, Precision was a fledgling business that began from a home as Precision Database Marketing. It has since evolved and is now situated in its net-zero, green solar-powered hub in Bury St Edmunds, having relocated its headquarters three times within the same town. With a current group turnover of £30 million and strong collaborations with some of the most renowned brands globally, Precision is dedicated to delivering sustainable solutions.

Many local businesses as well as multi-nationals rely on Precision to deliver their messages and products directly into the lives of their customers. Underpinned by a pledge to only provide sustainable solutions, our latest business is Precision Pharmacy, formed in partnership with Nick Cooper of Croasdales Pharmacy.

As a company that has grown rapidly over 3 years, doubling our turnover from £10 to £20 million thanks to the commitment of our people, Precision wanted to celebrate the role our people have played in our 28-year history. This lively celebration of Precision's 28th year exemplified our company’s commitment to nurturing camaraderie and happiness within the community, ensuring a future marked by ongoing success and shared memories.
